The Ryan N. Coleman Memorial Scholarship

Banks Empowering Consulting, LLC is honored to partner with family, friends, and community members who recognize that life’s journey can have some rough places.  In order to do our part, we are offering The Ryan N. Coleman Memorial Scholarship to a deserving student. All students are eligible to apply; however, the student must be a high school senior and has been accepted to an accredited 2 yr or 4 yr college or university.

The scholarship is open to all students from any field of study. The only requirement is that you are ready to learn, grow, and choose courage over comfort on your life’s journey.  As Tim Grover once said, “Everything gets easier when you stop expecting it to be easy.”  I have said often that when one is prepared, no test would have the last word.  Too often mediocrity is the standard.  Mediocre just is not the quality of a champion.  Excellence exposes mediocrity.

Ryan Nicholas Coleman was a champion. He entered Memphis Adult Teen Challenge and after accepting Christ, Ryan became the man his family and friends always knew he could be.  He mentored those from ages 6-96.  His passion was always anything computer-related which led him to an internship with Lowe’s. He had been invited back for their Summer 2021 Internship and instructor positions with CodeCrew and Hutchinson School. Those Honeybees held a special place in his heart!

Because comfort is the enemy of progress, Ryan Nicholas Coleman was a true champion. Many elect not to try the challenging and as a result live unfulfilled lives. Instead of allowing fear to control his life, Ryan prepared himself, and allowed preparation to be his fuel.  He allowed the courage to change and his “new” life in Christ to serve as the catalyst for the rest of his life.  Ryan Nicholas Coleman was a friend to many and all who knew him would say, “He was genuinely one of the most caring people I’ve met.” His big brother, Taylor would say, “I will always love you, Little Brother.”
